A few more photos of the last two days on the road with Ted.
We had clear blue skies yesterday for the first full day on the road from Terrace to New Hazelton, 130 k.
The temperature during the day is fresh and at night gets very cold.
Spent the evening eating and drinking as normal.
We are staying in a kind of upmarket hostel tonight, run by an Austrian couple. Very clean and warm. We might cook tonight.
Hi Mark – the photos look great – keep them coming. Wish I was there cycling all day instead of spec-ing furniture! It seems like you are meeting some great characters and having an enviable adventure….Best, Eve

We will be in Vancouver from Friday the 1 st October , we fly on Monday the 4 th .
I do not have any accomodation booked , do you want me to arrange a place or are you happy to do this?
Mark and Ted.
Hi Mark–Sorry to hear about Ted’s knee. Good luck on that mountain. Jack and I will be at the Sheraton near Stanley Park Saturday afternoon, staying through Monday, and will have our truck fully capable of transporting bodies and bicycles. (Beth is otherwise engaged.) If Ted can’t sell his bike perhaps he’d agree to let me take it home and sell it in Seattle. My cell # by the way is 253-686-2809. Been scanning slides of our trip to Spain with which to amaze you and horrify Ted. See you soon–Ted

Hi Julia
Great to hear from you, I am using this web site as a way to keep in touch rather than Facebook.
The tour of Alaska and British Columbia is going well. The bike is not causing any problems. the body is getting used to the life style, the vasaline has been invaluable!
My son Ted is riding with me-great to have company.
Send this link to Joe it would be great to have more followers.

V glad to hear that you arrived safely and are well on your way! Most envious as all pretty dull in Blighty. The District line isn’t quite the same in terms of excitement , especially when you’ve been doing it for 25years!
Have fun

glad to see that you are trying to embrace new technology like this. I am finding this way of communicating very good. I can log on using my phone at any where with a wireless network and drop a quick note. However it does need people to log on to my site first and give me comment.
I can also me followed on http://www.gaptrac.co.uk, username-markp,password-123123.
Hope that work is ticking along, we need someone to earn some money for the county while I am riding around.
Do join me on my travels if you want to have a holiday. I am happy to moderate / stop riding and become a normal tourist. Just a thought.
I hope you enjoy the blog.
Mark.
So the 2 Teds will meet! What to call a pair of Teds?? (A Teddy pair??!!) Hope it goes well. Would love to be able to join you all. Ted O – that’s a very kind offer to try and sell our Ted’s bike. I’m sure you are very welcome to keep it yourself if it takes your fancy! Ted HP – sounds like Mark is looking after you very well. I hope you haven’t been put off cycle touring. Think of me next Sunday doing the Ox-Cam ride. How was the camping experience?
xxx to you all
Hi Mark, it’s great to be able to follow your progress. Do keep the photos coming. I’m not sure that I would want to be with you – hanging onto to your wheel on the Essex ride we did with Lottie, Rose and Noel was too much for me! Take care with the moose, bears and traffic.
